TELLURIDE TECH FEST

Description: This intimate gathering at the Sheridan Opera House features distinguished honorees from the around the world who discuss the past, present and future of technology. Tech Fest is based on the historical fact that in 1891, Nikola Tesla, George Westinghouse and Telluride’s own L.L. Nunn built the world’s first commercial-grade AC power plant in Telluride, Colorado. The intimate mountain environment of Telluride continues to be an ideal environment for discussion and reflection.

Description: Sitting on Colorado Avenue in the historic town of Telluride, Music on Main Street offers a scenic backdrop of the San Juan Mountains in a world-famous resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. The event is a one-day affair and celebrates the combination of good music and delicious food. The culinary delights include such delicacies as crawfish beignets, jambalaya, gumbo and more. This summer's lineup has not yet been announced, but past performers have included Bill Kreutzmann of the Grateful Dead, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Buckwheat Zydeco, George Porter and more.
