TELLURIDE SKI RESORT ANNOUNCES NEW TERRAIN, LIFT, RESTAURANTS AND HOTEL FOR 2008-09 SEASON

TELLURIDE, Colo. (Oct. 16, 2008) - With new terrain, restaurants and lodging, the Telluride Ski Resort is thrilled to reveal What's New for the 2008-09 season.

To begin with the biggest news in all of ski country, Revelation Bowl and the corresponding Revelation Lift will open this winter. Long the envy of those standing atop famed Gold Hill, Revelation sits on a northeastern aspect that gathers huge amounts of snow. Situated above tree line, the natural, wide-open bowl offers advanced and expert skiing in an unbelievably scenic setting. Skiers and riders will be able to choose ridgelines in either direction offering steeper pitches and rock features, or rolling groomed terrain down the middle. Revelation Bowl will be served by a new, locally manufactured Leitner-Poma quad-lift.

The opening of Revelation Bowl is just part of Telluride's recent incredible expansion. Black Iron Bowl, Palmyra Peak and Gold Hill Chutes 6-10 opened to rave reviews last season. All told, the resort has expanded by nearly 400 acres, offering some of the most stunning skiing and riding on the continent. The resort's vertical drop is now one of the largest in North America at 4,425 feet, with 3,845 vertical feet lift-served.

The ski resort recently purchased three new Prinoth Snowcats, bringing the total to six new fleet cats over the past two seasons. The additional cats provide greater nightly coverage and consistent grooming of signature runs like Plunge and See Forever. Two new WWII vintage 105mm howitzers with their own stationary bunkers have been installed for avalanche control, enabling Gold Hill, Palmyra Peak and Black Iron Bowl to open more quickly on powder days.

For perfect après ski, experience the new Mountain Village restaurant the Hop Garden, located at the base of the Village Express (Lift 4). The European styled ski bar features a giant patio and delicious hot and cold fare for breakfast, lunch and dinner - a perfect complement to a day on the slopes. Ten specialty beers are featured on tap with craft beers from around the world highlighted daily. A traditional German styled beer garden sets the stage for glorious après ski and sunny days on the plaza.

High upon the mountain, Alpino Vino, a European style hütte near the top of Gold Hill, offers renowned wines, fine cheeses and appetizer plates. Opening its doors for the first time this winter, Alpino Vino's spectacular views coupled with comfortable cozy ambience provides a perfect retreat from the slopes.

United Announces Daily Chicago - Montrose/Telluride Service
Atlanta and Los Angeles also adding flights

United Airlines begins daily flights from Chicago to Montrose/Telluride Regional Airport on December 18, 2008. Southwest Colorado area visitors now have quick, comfortable, convenient non-stop air service from Chicago and many domestic and international connecting cities on United. United will also be increasing the number of operating flights from Los Angeles to Montrose/Telluride to twice-weekly. Delta Airlines will also increase its Atlanta - Montrose/Telluride route to three flights a week.

Guests vacationing at Telluride Ski Resort can utilize two area airports: Telluride or Montrose. The new flights bring the total number of winter non-stops to the two airports to nine cities, including daily Chicago, Denver, Dallas, Houston and Salt Lake City, plus Newark (weekly), Atlanta (3x weekly) and Los Angeles (2x weekly) to Montrose/Telluride. Direct flights from Denver (5x daily) and Phoenix (2x daily) into the Telluride Regional Airport are available during the winter season. Increased service provides visitors with a great variety of carrier options, easier coast to coast connections, flexibility in departure times and lower fares.
