Hotel's travel advisory policy with COVID-19


Key Points:
  • There are currently no indoor mask mandates in San Miguel County.
  • If we have a sudden surge in COVID infection rates in San Miguel County, services and amenities may be interrupted or discontinued intermittently. This may include the swimming pool, fitness center and the locker rooms as well as public lobby areas in the main building.
  • The View Restaurant may or may not be open due to COVID-19 infection "ebbs and flows" during your visit. 
  •  These restrictions are constantly evolving and could change at any time to account for changes resulting from the pandemic. Please bookmark this page for current updates.

Please read the information mentioned below carefully as it might affect your upcoming stay:

Our onsite restaurant, The View, will be open and closed based on local infection rate dashboard updates by San Miguel County. If the restaurant is closed to indoor dining during your visit, we will provide onsite take-out options.

Many of the COVID restrictions have been lifted in San Miguel County. However, face masks are still required when riding on the free gondola system from Mountain Village to Telluride and on any shuttle or bus service in the area.

Front Desk & Lobby:
The Mountain Lodge front desk is available 24 hours by dialing "0" on your room phone or dialing the Mountain Lodge's central telephone number (970)369-6001. Most importantly, we have implemented a contactless check-in process and are limiting physical interactions with hotel staff. 

Public Areas:
The onsite fitness room & steam room are currently open 

Our outdoor heated pool and hot tubs will be open only to our registered, in-house guests.

All public areas open at this time will receive additional sanitizing aligned with the most recent COVID-19 sanitizing recommendations.

Hotel Staff Protocols:
All Mountain Lodge employees will continue to be required to follow our existing CDC guidelines & recommendations, as per county & state health orders.  However, the hotel may take additional and more restrictive steps in an effort to further reduce the spread of COVID-19.

Housekeeping Services:
  • New cleaning protocols have been implemented in all guest rooms, condominiums and cabins. 
  • Housekeeping staff will wear both gloves and a mask and will only enter units upon departure.  We will provide/deliver additional sheets, towels, bathroom amenities, coffee and trash pick-up upon request.
  • We will reduce exposure-points in all units by removing unnecessary items, such as decorative pillows, bed throws, compendiums, paper notepads and pens.
  • Housekeeping is regrettably unable to service any "stay-over" requests for cleaning.  We only offer pre-arrival housekeeping cleaning services.
 
We pride ourselves in providing clean, well-maintained accommodations for everyone to enjoy.  We acknowledge that hygiene and cleanliness are the single most important priorities in creating a safe and comfortable guest experience during these uncertain times.
