Held every Memorial Day weekend, Mountainfilm is a documentary film festival that showcases nonfiction stories about environmental, cultural, climbing, political and social justice issues that matter. Along with exceptional documentaries, the festival goes beyond the film medium by bringing together world-class athletes, change makers and visionary artists for a multi-dimensional celebration of indomitable spirit. Mountainfilm, which includes interactive talks, free community events, a gallery walk, outdoor programming and presentations, aims to inspire audiences to action on worthy causes.

On Saturday and Sunday, watch balloons lift off from Telluride Town Park and float effortlessly over the Telluride Valley. After a beautiful day in the sun, head to Main Street on Saturday evening to witness the amazing Balloon Glow. Balloons are tethered to Main Street (weather dependent) and lit up during this spectacular display.

Since 1991, the Sheridan Arts Foundation has raised more than $40,000 each year to bring 40-50 underserved youth from Boys & Girls Clubs from around the country to Telluride for a week of nurturing, child-centered mentorship programs and fascinating cultural experiences as a part of the Chip Allen Mentorship Program (C.A.M.P). Children travel from cities across the United States, including Atlanta, Boston, Denver, Farmington N.M., Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Colorado Springs. Here in Telluride, we enjoy many privileges, and Wild West Fest is a chance to share our community with kids who can really benefit from what it has to offer. This is our chance to open our town and our hearts to kids in need. The goal of the Sheridan Arts Foundation every year is to provide an esteem-building experience for each child that allows them to challenge themselves in a supportive and non-competitive environment.

Every Summer Solstice, 11,000+ Festivarians converge on the historic mining town in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern CO (elevation 8,750') for 4 days of adventurous acoustic music in the stunning Telluride box canyon. Since its early years, the unique genre of "Telluride Bluegrass" has embraced a diverse family of artists including Sam Bush, Robert Plant, Mumford & Sons, Brandi Carlile, Norah Jones, Jason Mraz, Greensky Bluegrass, Emmylou Harris, and many of the world's most virtuosic acoustic instrumentalists - many of whom have returned to the festival for 25+ years. With music on the main stage, intimate workshop performances at Elks Park, late-night indoor NightGrass concerts, and pickin' in campgrounds and condos ‘til dawn, Telluride Bluegrass is the "granddaddy of the modern festival circuit" (Relix).

The Telluride Yoga Festival is a unique and special gathering unlike any other. This inspirational 4-day event features over 100 offerings including yoga, meditation, music, hiking, dining, SUP yoga, social gatherings and more. Find yourself deeply immersed with inspiring and motivating presenters in intimate venues with gorgeous & inspiring, views at our downtown Telluride campus of the Telluride High School and beyond.

Each summer, over the Fourth of July weekend, the Sheridan Arts Foundation hosts 20-25 nationally renowned plein air artists in beautiful Telluride, Colorado for a week of outdoor art. The Telluride Plein Air Festival has become an indispensable part of Telluride's Independence Day festivities, allowing locals and tourists alike to observe some of the nation's top plein air artists at work. The festival culminates in a three-day sale, where the artists display the work they have created all week long.

There is something magical about the Fourth of July in Telluride. For over a hundred years, people have come together on Independence Day to celebrate patriotism and the independent spirit of this stunning mountain town. Come join the Town of Telluride in our Fourth of July Celebration! There is a parade, a BBQ, kid games in the park and of course fireworks (weather permitting). In honor of the 4th of July, the Telluride Historical Museum is offering free admission all day and root beer floats at 12:30 p.m. ($5 suggested donation).

Since its debut in 2012, The RIDE Festival has quickly garnered a reputation among music fans for its thoughtful performance curation - handpicking rootsy, rocking talent whose music flawlessly compliments the festival's stunning Telluride, Colorado setting. The weekend kick off on Friday night in Town Park, as Widespread Panic headlines the first of their two-night set. Renowned as one of the most scenic and intimate music festivals in the country, Telluride Blues & Brews Festival is located in the world-famous mountain town of Telluride, Colorado. The multi-stage celebration of music and craft beer offers an eclectic mix of live blues, funk, indie, rock, jam-band, gospel and soul performances accompanied by some of the best craft breweries in the country. The Festival also features kids activities (climbing wall, bounce houses, bungee trampolines, and parades), cozy late night club shows, a 5k fundraiser race, free morning yoga sessions, local and regional food and craft vendors and so much more. The Telluride Horror Show, Colorado's first and longest-running horror film festival, returns for its 10th edition. Every year, the festival attracts the latest & best genre films from around the world and attendees from all over the country for an incredible gathering of film fans in the world-famous mountain resort town of Telluride, Colorado. For three packed days, experience an eclectic mix of horror, suspense, thriller, dark fantasy, sci-fi and dark comedy in Telluride's unique theaters, with many of the films showing for the first time in the US.
