How big and high is the telluride golf course?
Telluride Golf Club offers an 18-hole, 6,574-yard, par 70 course over meandering fairways that wind through picturesque valleys, towering pines, aspen groves, and clear mountain streams. The course opens with a 377-yard, downhill par-4 and continues with back-to-back par 3s and consecutive par 5s through the front nine. The back nine climbs further into the San Juan Mountains, challenging players with uphill shots, demanding carries and artful doglegs. Tee off at 9,417 feet on the first hole featuring one of the country's most elevated tee areas. With a 92-step climb to the tee box, No. 17 showcases panoramic views of the San Miguel mountain range.
Is this golf course open throughout the year?
Due to the challenge of its high altitude and snowy winter weather, Telluride Golf Club is open from late May through early October. Visitors can enjoy fun winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and fishing when the golf course is not in operation.
